Robert Hawkins brings 30 years of proven military service to the Republic Team. He is an expert in Army Acquisition, Systems, Programs, and Operations. He joins Republic after serving in critical roles in the U.S. Army Futures Command, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, Technology, and the Office of the U.S. Army’s Office of Chief Legislative Liaison.
After serving in and leading Combat Infantry units with 4 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Robert was one of two Senior Enlisted Advisors in the entire Army to be selected for the U.S. Army Fellows Program. After receiving his Masters from George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management, he served as a Military Assistant to a Member of Congress.
Upon completion of the Fellows Program as a Sergeant Major, Robert served in the U.S. Army Office of Chief Legislative Liaison (OCLL) for the U.S. House of Representatives. He assisted in the coordination and management of the Army Legislative Affairs portfolio to all 435 Member Offices, the Majority and Minority Leadership Offices, and the Professional Staff Members for the U.S. Congress and its Committees.
Next, he was selected to serve as a leader in the Congressional Affairs Directorate for the Office of Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, Technology (ASA/ALT). Subsequently, Robert was chosen by Headquarters Department of the Army to assist in establishing the new U.S. Army Futures Command, where he managed Congressional Relations. Robert served in leadership positions from Fire Team to the Brigade Combat Team level. During his career, Robert served three tours at Fort Bragg, North Carolina with the 82nd Airborne Division. He also served with the 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; and the 193rd Infantry Brigade, Fort Kobbe, Republic of Panama. His operational deployments include one tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom and three tours in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
In addition, Robert was stationed in Fort Myers, Florida as an Army Recruiter; served as an Observer/Controller at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana; at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas; and assignments in the Pentagon.
