Over 40 years of Washington experience at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and in private sector government affairs, Dale Snape offers clients a thorough insider’s knowledge of the federal funding process, an analyst’s interest in policy issues, and a seasoned political activist’s insights to congressional leadership and Democratic politics.
Dale has served as a strategic counselor to major U.S. corporations, trade associations, and non-profit organizations. His expertise has helped guide client successes within the United States’ most highly regulated industries. He has worked for the passage of financial services reform, Medicare and other health policy reforms, and telecommunications policy changes. His work in support of Native Americans led to the settlement of tribal land and water disputes with the United States and the creation of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian.
A skilled funding advocate, Dale assists clients with appropriations, especially in the area of national defense. He has led or been engaged on both domestic and international merger acquisition efforts, and maintains close ties with the Committees, Departments and agencies that review such transactions.
While at OMB, Dale was awarded the prestigious Professional Achievement Award. He served as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Stanford University prior to coming to Washington. Dale helped organize and remains active in supporting what has become the New Democrat Coalition to sustain moderate, pro-growth Democrats, as well as being an active volunteer advisor to Democratic Senate and House candidates. Dale earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Stanford University.
Dale lives in McLean VA with his wife, Elizabeth and is enjoying his growing set of grandchildren.
